MatthewStringerPecan Valley Republican Women will host their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th at the Brownwood Country Club.  The guest speaker will be Matthew Stringer who will represent Texas Congressional District 11 as a Presidential Elector.  The public is invited to attend this event.

Springer will speak of the history and purpose of the Electoral College, and his role as a Presidential Elector.  In June, 2016, at the Republican State Convention in Dallas, 26-year-old Matthew Stringer was elected to represent Texas Congressional District 11 as the Presidential Elector Nominee to the United States Electoral College.

Born in Odessa, raised in the Davis Mountains of West Texas, Stringer has a passion and history of fighting to defend Christian conservative values, and the ideals of liberty, our nation was founded upon.  Inspired to become involved in politics roughly 5 years ago, Mathew has served 3 times as a delegate to the Republican State Convention for Ector County, and was elected to serve as a national delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.

Stringer has served as a volunteer campaign consultant and manager for various candidates, and during the Texas Legislative Session, he frequents the State Capitol to monitor and show support for conservative legislation. His efforts led him to be named one of the top conservative grassroots leader in Texas for 2015, and was presented the prestigious Texas Conservative Leaders Award by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick.

Professionally, Matthew works at his family’s fine jewelry store in Midland as a jeweler and resides in Odessa, where he is an associate member of the Ector County Republican Women’s Club.

Please RSVP as soon as possible, by calling or texting to Rebecca, 325-998-3880.
