Kenneth Dale Keeney, lovingly known as “K.K.,” passed away at the age of 75 on March 11, 2026. He was born on November 19, 1950 in Coleman, Texas, and spent most of his life in the Coleman area before moving to Bangs in 2019, where he resided until his passing.

K.K. was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Barbria Keeney, and his brothers, Bobbi Wayne, and Larry Keeney.

He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly, including his daughters, Cynthia Keeney of Bangs, Rebecca Keeney-Lovejoy of Bangs, and Kimberly Loveland. He was a proud grandfather to Shelby Lovejoy of Bangs and grandsons Dustin Marshall, and Andrew McCurdy also of Bangs. He is also survived by his sisters, Frankie McDaniel of Granbury, Dorothy Bradshaw of Abilene, Ann Kostic of Abilene, Margaret Peacock of Abilene, and Norma and brother-n-law Roy Don Spikes of Abilene along with eight nephews, two nieces, and many beloved friends.

K.K. found joy in the simple things in life and truly lived life to the fullest on his own terms.  He loved drawing and painting, spending time gardening, and caring for animals. He especially enjoyed birdwatching and, if he had his way, would have spent every spare moment fishing. His quiet passions and kind spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Please join us in celebrating the life of K.K. We will be gathering at the Coleman City Park Family Center on April 9, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to share stories, memories, and time together.

Feel free to bring photos or anything that reminds you of K.K.—we would love to see and share those special moments.

Arrangements were entrusted by Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
