LIBERTY HILL – The Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions competed in the Liberty Hill tennis tournament on Friday where Gigi Rodriguez and Jami Patterson led the charge with a second-place finish in girls doubles action.

Also for Brownwood, Cooper Morgan turned in a fourth-place performance in boys singles, while the boys doubles tandem of Eli Hutson and Reece Davis finished fourth in boys doubles as well.

Brownwood’s mixed doubles team of Blake Hutchins and Ashlyn Bundick suffered their first loss during the tournament after winning their first 26 matches of the year.

The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action Tuesday and Wednesday at the District 6-4A tennis tournament in Stephenville.
