Mildred Charlene Broyles Reavis, 89, was born on December 29, 1936, to Charlie and Thelma “Fritz” Keeney Broyles in Chappel, Texas. She departed this life on March 26, 2026.

Charlene married Gerald “Jerry” Reavis on July 7, 1979, in Bend, Texas. She was a longtime member of the Bend–Chappel Methodist Church, where she served faithfully as a pianist for many years.

Charlene enjoyed gardening and spent countless hours tending her yard, taking great pride in its beauty. She loved cooking, cherished her cats, and had a deep interest in family history. She especially enjoyed selecting holiday gifts for her grandchildren and sharing family recipes with them.

She is survived by her son, Mark McCoury; her daughter, Cindy Day; two granddaughters, Niki Mann and Krista Yates; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, and Aniston; her niece, Debbie January; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Reavis; her sister, Jolene Lively; and her niece, Mebbie Eckhoff.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Chappel Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.
