HPU invites public to annual Spring Family Reunion on March 28

Howard Payne University will host its annual Spring Family Reunion on Saturday, March 28.

The public is invited to campus to join HPU alumni, students and personnel for a day of fun, including the Worldwide 5K run/walk, Outdoor Vendor Market, music, games and food. Admission is free and no registration is necessary.

“We are excited for HPU’s fifth annual Spring Family Reunion. This day brings so many wonderful opportunities to meet and connect with students and alumni and to enjoy time on campus,” said Lindsay Badgeley, director of alumni relations. “There will be fun for all ages, including live music, games, bounce houses, food and the Outdoor Vendor Market with unique handmade and customized goods. This is going to be an amazing day on HPU’s campus, and we can’t wait to see you there!”

The Spring Family Reunion kicks off in the morning with the Worldwide 5K run/walk. Participants will meet at 8:45 a.m. at the Mabee University Center for a 9 a.m. start.  

From 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Ben and Bertha Mieth Outdoor Pavilion, guests can enjoy live music, booths with food and games and the Outdoor Vendor Market featuring handmade crafts and goods from local artisans. 

Eleven student organizations and alumni chapters will sponsor booths with food and games for all ages. Student and alumni groups hosting booths include the African American Alumni Chapter, Alumni Association, Amigos Unidos, Delta Chi Rho, Delta Epsilon Omega, the Hispanic Alumni Chapter, Hobby Hive, Zeta Chi, Jacket Alums in Ministry, Pi Theta Chi, Baptist Student Ministry, Tri Beta and the Young Alumni Chapter. 

The HPU Alumni Association expresses appreciation to business and family sponsors for the Worldwide 5K.
