He was born on March 26, 1954, in Odessa, Texas to George and Naomi Davis. He married the love of his life Doylene Davis on September 2, 1978. Since their wedding in 1978, they spent 47 wonderful years building a life and family together. They raised 3 beautiful children. While he was a devoted father to his own, he was also a father figure to so many others, offering a steady hand and a kind heart to anyone in need of guidance. His family and friends knew him as the one they could call anytime. He lived his life with an open heart and a constant willingness to show up for those in need.

A man of dedication from a young age, Cuda enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he graduated high school from Frankfurt High School in Germany, while stationed abroad. This early commitment to service shaped the man he became. He went on to serve his country proudly for 23 years, (a proud VIETNAM VET) a career defined by the same loyalty and grit he brought to every part of his life. He continued to be committed to his fellow services members by being a member of the Hill Country Veterans Alliance. He took great pride in his service, always keeping up with his army buddies. He dedicated 32 years to 3M, where his hard work and warm spirit led him to meet many lifelong friends. He was a man of service who spent a portion of his life protecting his neighbors as a volunteer fireman for the City of Early.

He was an avid car lover with a love for classic cars. Whether he was under a hood or talking shop with family and friends, his quick wit and status as family comedian made every garage session a memory. His love and appreciation for cars led him to be a proud member of the Heartland Cruiser’s. His love for music was as infectious as his love for life. Whether it was a new hit or a classic song, he loved it all; however, nothing got him moving quite like his favorite oldies. He was a man who appreciated the classics; if he was relaxing at home, you could bet a western movie was playing loudly on the TV. He was a true outdoorsman at heart who found peace and joy while hunting and fishing. He could be heard cheering on his favorite team, he remained a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, never wavering in his support for “America’s Team.”

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Doylene Davis of Early, Texas; sons, Leslie and wife Alicia of Early, Texas; Bryan and wife Rhonda of Early, Texas; grandchildren, Chris, James, Lee, Kassidy, Bailey, Paetra, Taylor, Bryce, Alexis, Courtney, and Tristen; his sisters, Georgia Land of Hurst, Betty Robinson of The Colony; his brother Dale and wife Mary Davis of Brownwood; and numerous great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, his 3M family, and numerous army buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Naomi Daub Davis; Daughter, Debra Davis; and his nephews Richard Blatchley and Leland Cass.
