BrockJeannetteJeannette Brock, 94, of Santa Anna, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman.  Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Marvin Hale officiating.  Burial will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Mary Jeannette Matthews on January 13, 1922 in Knox County to Roger William Matthews and Ethel Rose Jackson Matthews.  She grew up in Santa Anna and Bangs, where she attended school.  On May 13, 1968, she married Louie Eugene “Blackie” Brock in Weatherford.  He preceded her in death on March 24, 1995.  Mrs. Brock lived most of her life in Santa Anna.  She worked for the Tile Plant, and later became a hairdresser in Santa Anna.  She was also a caregiver to family and friends.  Mrs. Brock was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Santa Anna.

Survivors include one son, Bill and Betty Tucker of Santa Anna; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Tucker of Santa Anna; two sisters, Billie Ruth Woods and husband, Billy Norman, of Granbury, Shirley Leach of Azle; one brother, Truman Matthews and wife, Bess, of Burkett; seven grandchildren, Douglas Tucker, Dwayne Tucker, David Tucker, Archie Doyle Tucker, Lillian Grissam, Jeannie Stacks, Tammy Arndt; 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by a son, Tony Gene Tucker; one great granddaughter and eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday October 19, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
