The Early Police Department issued the following press release Thursday morning:

On 03/18/2026, Early Police Officers responded to the 700 block of Garmon Drive regarding an ex-employee of a business who was trying to take items and had physically attacked several employees at the business. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, Rusty Glen Taylor, and detained him without incident. Upon further investigation, officers learned that Taylor entered a building while a female employee opened a door to see what he was doing there. Taylor began grabbing items while a female employee tried to stop him from leaving before the business owner arrived. Taylor struck the female and pushed her down. Taylor also pushed another female down, causing injury to both women. The business owner arrived, and an altercation ensued between Taylor and the owner. Officers arrived shortly after the altercation began, when Taylor was detained. Taylor stated he was trying to get his personal items, but it was determined he was also getting some items belonging to the business.

Taylor was arrested and charged with Robbery due to his forcing his way in and assaulting and injuring the 2 female employees while taking items.

Taylor was also wanted in the State of Kansas for contributing to a child’s delinquent behavior. A hold has been place on him for the State of Kansas.
