EDINBURG – Bangs Lady Dragon Valerie Razo placed fourth in the Class 2A 97-pound weight class at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting State meet here Wednesday.

Razo lifted a total of 605 pounds – 220 in the squat, 135 in the bench press, and 250 in the deadlift.

The state champion in the weight class, Jimena Leija of Sonora, lifted a total of 635 pounds.
