This past weekend, Riverside Park became a place of unity, worship, and spiritual renewal as the community gathered for the Open Heaven Praise & Worship Event, hosted by FaithWorks Legacy founder
The event brought together people from all walks of life for an afternoon and evening dedicated to praising God, sharing testimonies, and strengthening the bond between churches and the surrounding community.
More than ten pastors from surrounding regions—including Dallas, Abilene, and neighboring communities—came together to offer prayers, encouragement, and words of faith. The gathering featured talented worship artists and musicians who filled the park with powerful praise music that lifted hearts and spirits throughout the day.
Attendees experienced moving testimonies, heartfelt worship, and a spirit of unity that reflected the true message behind the event—that the Church is not confined to a building but is the people of God coming together in love and faith.
“We wanted this event to remind people that it is not ‘my church’ or ‘your church,’ but God’s church and God’s people. The goal was to bring healing, unity, and hope to the community, and God truly showed up in a powerful way,” said Stephanie Miller Brew.
The event welcomed individuals and families from many backgrounds and denominations, demonstrating that faith has the power to unite communities beyond church walls.
Organizers expressed deep gratitude to the pastors, artists, volunteers, and community members who participated and helped make the event a success.
FaithWorks Legacy plans to continue hosting community-centered gatherings that bring people together in faith, service, and encouragement.
