COMANCHE – The Early Longhorns remained undefeated in the month of March and in District 8-3A baseball competition, notching their sixth win in a row, 5-1 over the Comanche Indians Thursday.

Tied at 1 after one inning, Early (7-8, 2-0) scored twice in the third inning and added two more runs in the fifth against Comanche (4-8, 0-2).

The Longhorns drew nine walks and recorded five hits – a double and a single from Jaxson Stockman, who drove in two; and singles from Ben Wilson, Jack Nowell and Hunter McCullough. Eli Pallette and Jackson Clark tallied RBIs without the benefit of a hit.

On the mound, Chris Ivy tossed a complete-game three-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks. The one run allowed was unearned as Early committed four errors.

The Longhorns will next visit Breckenridge at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
