At 7:45 a.m., a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck was northbound on County Road 432. The driver struck a tree lying across County Road 432, completely blocking the roadway. At the time of the crash, the roadway was unlit and dark. The driver was wearing a seat belt.
On Wednesday, March 4, 30-year-old Thomas Cruz Gonzalez of Dublin perished in a one-vehicle accident on US 67, 0.2 miles west of CR 4188 in Comanche County.
At 7:31 p.m., a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was traveling west on US 67, where the roadway was wet due to ongoing rain. The driver was exceeding a safe speed for the slippery conditions and was not wearing a seat belt. As the vehicle entered a gentle right-hand curve, the rear tires hydroplaned, causing the pickup to spin 180 degrees, cross the oncoming lanes, and skid onto the eastbound unimproved shoulder. The vehicle overturned, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt.
