EARLY – Early City Council members approved agreements Tuesday that are expected to lead to the construction of townhomes in the city’s Town Center.
The two agreements are between the City of Early, the Early Municipal Development District and a company called Mustang Ridge Venture Capital. The agreements are for the sale of property in the Town Center, City Administrator Tony Aaron said.
“Mustang Ridge Venture Capital is a company that is interested in building townhomes that would be for sale in the Town Center,” Aaron said. “So what we’re looking at doing is partnering with them.
“They’ll buy the land from us. They’ll then build six four-plex buildings that multi-stories, and then those will be for sale. We’re still working out the details on what those may look like, square footage, cost and all of that, but we anticipate reaching all of that to a conclusion and getting some construction started by late summer of this year.”
The city will sell the land at market value and will install water, sewer and a street, Aaron said.
