LynchRobertBrownwood Police Department released the following information regarding a wanted subject that escaped during an attempt to serve a warrant.

On Monday, September 28, 2016, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers with the Brownwood Police Department were in the 500 block of 7th Street, attempting to serve an arrest warrant on 26-year-old Robert Lynch.  Mr. Lynch fled the scene on foot and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful.  Mr. Lynch was last seen in the area of 2nd Street, near the Howard Payne football field, and was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.

Mr. Lynch is wanted out of Texas Department of Criminal Justice Pardon and Parole.  The original offense he was convicted of is carrying a prohibited weapon.

According to Assistant Chief James Fuller, “There is no dire ‘armed and dangerous’ scenario.  We were simply out to arrest him.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Lynch is encouraged to contact the Brownwood Police Department at 325-646-2525 or Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).  Cash rewards through Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers are offered for information that leads to the arrest of wanted subjects.
