Frances McBee

McbeeFrancesFuneral services for Frances Turner McBee, 85, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Interment will follow at Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McBee passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 in Fort Worth after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Frances was born October 29, 1930 in Brownsboro, Texas to Frank and Brutha Hatton Turner. Her family moved to Brownwood when she was a child and she lived in Brown County the remainder of her life. Frances attended Brownwood High School. She married Johnny McBee in Brownwood, Texas on October 25, 1948. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness church. She loved gardening and working on the family ranch.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny. She is survived by two daughters; Kaye and husband Edwin Hansen of Newark, Texas, Beverly McBee Coursey of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Stefanie Inglet of Brownwood, Texas, Matthew Coursey and wife Jessica of Hutto, Texas, and Lauren Coursey of Fort Worth, Texas.

She is survived by six great-grandchildren; Justin Inglet, Taylor Inglet, Colten Inglet, Karrisa Bailey, Shane Bailey and Dakota Bailey and one great-great grandchild, Fallon Inget.

She is also survived by two nieces; Carolyn Hogan of Abilene, Texas and Leeann Sofge of Florida and one nephew; Timothy Sofge of Dallas, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Paul Turner and one sister, Corinne Turner.

She inspired us all with her strength and courage and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
