
HAMILTON – The No. 21 May Tigers suffered the most brutal of defeats, falling by a single point to No. 10 Perrin-Whitt, 51-50, here Tuesday night in Class A Division I Region III boys basketball playoff action.
May (24-10) trailed Perrin-Whitt (28-6) by a 13-12 after one quarter, 27-16, at halftime, and 36-30 heading into the fourth period, where the Tigers almost completed an unlikely comeback.
Kobey Morris poured in 24 points for the Tigers along with eight from Mikey Scheriger, seven from Brody Stice, six from Tyran Perry, three from Jackson Lusk, and two points from Kaden Watkins.
Case Lambert led Perrin-Whitt with 21 points trailed by 14 points from Cole Keeney and 10 from Noah Morris.
