
The Brownwood High tennis team hosted its own tournament Tuesday, where the Lions and Lady Lions earned one championship, three consolation titles and added a third-place performance.
Ashlyn Bundick and Blake Hutchins continued their string of mixed doubles championships, running their spring season record to 22-0.
Emory May and Arely Carrere added a third-place effort in girls doubles.
Collecting consolation championships were Lanie Johnson and Eric Smith in mixed doubles. For Smith, the victory was the 100th of his high school career.
Also, Gigi Rodriguez and Jami Patterson in girls doubles, and Trine Baugh and Aiden Oplotnik in boys doubles, brought home consolation titles.
