Brownwood Fire Department received a special thank you from a local church on Thursday morning.

Members of the North Lake Community Church delivered cookies as a gesture of thanks for their service to the community.

“We present homemade cookies in appreciation for your service,” said NLCC Pastor Ron Keener said on behalf of his members to firefighters.  “We don’t say thank you enough, oftentimes we take you for granted, but you are always there, always just a phone call away.”

North Lake Community Church has also recently visited the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the Brownwood Police Department, the Thomas R. Havins Unit of Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and local EMS, delivering cookies and gratitude.
