Juanita Reaneau Barnum

BarnumJuanitaFuneral Services for Juanita Reaneau Barnum, age 72, of Brownwood will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at 4th and Stewart St. Church of Christ (3201 4th St.) with Michael Light and Johnny McCaghren officiating; burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Juanita Reneau Barnum was born on November 15, 1943, to Howard N. and Bessie (Whatley) Reneau in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed from this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Brownwood, Texas. Juanita was married to Stormy Gene Barnum on October 25, 1958, and together they had three children. Juanita always put her family first, focusing her efforts on being a homemaker. She was also a long time member of the 4th & Stewart Church of Christ.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stormy Barnum of Brownwood;  son, Donnie Barnum and wife Darla of Brownwood; daughter, Kathy Shannon and husband Art of Brownwood; and son-in-law, Monte Doss of Blanket; seven granddaughters, Lacy Anderson and husband BJ of Bangs, Trista Bernal and husband JB of Blanket, Courtney Greene and husband Curtis of Lake Brownwood, Kim Manglberger and husband Bobby of Bandera, Amy Reed and husband Cody of Cross Plains, Ashley Arnold of Bangs, Stori Stalworth and husband Lucius of Brownwood; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters Ruth Coffee and husband Bob of Garland, Debbie Bennett and husband Bobby of Shreveport, Louisiana. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Doss; brother, H. M. ‘Bobby’ Reneau; and sisters, Katherine Bounds, Lorene Bley Griffing, Clariece Latham, and Tressa Palmer Jones.
