
GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood High tennis team earned gold medals in a pair of draws, as well as a team championship at the Glen Rose tournament Thursday.
The mixed doubles duo of Ashlyn Bundick and Blake Hutchins again finished in first place, and were joined by the boys doubles tandem of Trine Baugh and Aiden Oplotnik, which helped the Lions capture the overall team title.
Cooper Morgan was second in boys singles and Ian Cervantes came in third in boys singles to further aid the Lions’ cause.
On the girls side, Gigi Rodriguez and Jami Patterson placed second in doubles, while Emory May and Arely Cervantes finished third.
In girls singles, Coulter Day brought home the consolation title.
Also, Lanie Johnson and Eric Smith secured the consolation championship in mixed doubles.
The Lions and Lady Lions are back in action Tuesday as they host the Brownwood tournament.
