Darrell Goins

Darrell Ray Goins, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Darrell was born May 7, 1958, in Brownwood, Texas, to Roy Albert Goins and Callie Carolyn Muhle Goins.

He married Virginia Alice Guill on December 9, 1977, in Comanche, Texas. Darell worked at Kohler for almost 37 years as a technician.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Alice Goins of Zephyr; three children, Tyson Blayne Goins of Zephyr, Texas, Lance Arlan Goins of Zephyr, Texas, and Julie Clarissa Buffington of Rising Star, Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Sherri Rivard of Brownwood, Texas, and Jeannie Rothamel of Largo, Florida; two brothers, Lonnie R. Goins of Comanche, Texas and Gary D. Goins of Early, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Albert Goins and Callie Carolyn Muhle Goins; three brothers, Lewis L. Goins, John C. Goins, and Orville G. Goins; one niece, Karen Pierce; and one nephew, Gary D. Goins Jr.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Solaris Hospice providers for their compassionate care. Darrell was on hospice for 2 ½ years and fought a long battle with illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.

Heartland Funeral Home in charge of cremation, and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
