Johnny Lee Nye, born February 10, 1970 in Hemet, California, went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 20, 2026. Family will hold a visitation on Friday, February 27, from 6-8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 28, at 2 PM at Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, Texas with interment to follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Johnny came to Texas in 1992 alongside his mother and father, Barbara and James Wooldridge, to be near his Granddad Frank Wooldridge. It did not take him long to build his business, J&T Construction. He was a man of many talents, such as metal fabrication and a long-haul truck driver. Johnny loved hunting, fishing, karaoke, and barbecuing with his family and friends. He absolutely loved and adored each and every one of his grandchildren and cherished every moment he had with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnny is survived by his parents, Barbara and James Wooldridge of Bangs, Tx; brother, Joseph Wooldridge and wife Jodi of Coleman, Texas; his daughter, Jennifer Nye Srader and husband John Cody of Bangs, Texas and their children, Kiersten and Jonathon Nye, along with John, Eli, Noah, and Allison Srader; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins he loved dearly, and a special niece, Carey Jade Hoover. He also rekindled an old flame and moved to Dublin, Tx. With Ralphine Haynes who he loved and cared for deeply.

Johnny is preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Lesli Nye, Carey Lashawn Nye Vogel; brother, Ronnie Gene Nye Sr.; son, James William Nye; and granddaughter Barbara Allison Nye.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
