The NJCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship Tournament is inviting the public to the “Tournament Tip-Off Festival” being held at 6:00pm March 10th at the Brownwood Event Center! This festival is FREE to all and l will feature a live DJ from HonorWay Productions, multiple food trucks (Heartland BBQ, Regios Tacos, Pioneer Pizza, Party on Wheels), local vendors (Copper Brand, Over the Rainbow), live horses, and a mechanical bull! All 150+ players and coaches who are competing in the tournament  will be in attendance as well.

“We wanted every players and coach coming to Brownwood for this awesome tournament to get a real Texas experience while they are here. There are potentially multiple visitors who have never been to our state or community, and our championship committee viewed this as a great way to show all who are in attendance the Brownwood hospitality that we are becoming famous for,” said Robert Anders, City of Brownwood Sports and Event Coordinator.

For fans wanting prizes there will be give aways, a free photo booth, and winnable items! There will also be a meet and greet session with the players and coaches from each team which will allow the public to connect with the players who will be competing for the Championship Trophy!

Sponsors for the Tip-Off event are Tournament Sponsor Chick-Fil-A of Brownwood, Festival Sponsor Ethos Pet Brands, and the City of Brownwood. There will be an awards portion of the festival as well at 7:30 where the NJCAA will hand out some of its national awards to the teams.

Please reach out to Robert Anders (randers@brownwoodtexas.gov or 325-430-1427) with any questions about the event.
