Below are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 85–89 degrees; 1.00’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon Rat–L–Traps over brush piles, and on chartreuse topwaters.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 86–90 degrees; 1.18’ low. Black bass are fair on black/blue spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on green striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel catfish are good on bloodbait, nightcrawlers, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 86–90 degrees; 35.85’ low. Black bass are fair to good on Yellow Magics early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs, drop shot rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 85–89 degrees; 0.83’ low. Black bass are slow.
