The No. 20 Lady Tigers will face either Avalon or Neches in the area round of the playoffs after Monday’s 59-7 bi-district win over Lingleville

May Lady Tigers 59, Lingleville 7

COMANCHE – The Class A No 20. May Lady Tigers, champions of District 21-A, cruised to a 59-7 victory over Lingleville Monday night in Class A Division I Region III bi-district playoff action

May (28-7) will next face either District 23 top seed Avalon (11-10) or District 24 second seed Neches (13-10), who meet at Cross Roads High School at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Against Lingleville, the Lady Tigers led 21-2 after one quarter, 35-7 at halftime, and 46-7 heading to the fourth period, as May pitched a second-half shutout defensively.

Scoring for May were Chloe Lord with 20 points, Jordyn Gerhardt with 19, Aubree Gerhardt with seven, Lauren Hicks with six, Cortney Harper with five, and Callie Harper with two points.
