Position Overview
We’re looking for a part-time digital admin to help with day-to-day website tasks: posting content and ads, updating pages, and assisting with basic site stats and reports. This is a behind-the-scenes role that keeps our site running smoothly.
Responsibilities

Post and update content in WordPress, including:

Obituaries
-
Classifieds (jobs, real estate, notices)

Display ads and sponsored posts

Community events and announcements

Make basic page updates:

Creating new pages from templates
-
Updating images, links, and text
-

Help manage site stats:

Pull simple traffic reports (pageviews, top stories, etc.)

Organize stats for internal reports and advertisers

Double-check content for accuracy, formatting, and correct links before publishing

Communicate with sales/editorial when information is missing or unclear

Other simple digital admin tasks as needed
- Assist in managing Social Media accounts
Requirements

Comfortable working in WordPress (or similar CMS); we’ll train on our specific setup

Strong attention to detail and good spelling/grammar

Able to follow checklists and standard procedures

Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines

Basic familiarity with online tools (Google Docs/Sheets, email, etc.)

Experience with local news, advertising, or media is a plus but not required
Schedule & Pay

Part-time: approximately 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling)

Mostly remote work is possible after training (if you prefer), with occasional in-person meetings if local

Compensation: hourly, based on experience (e.g. $12-15 hour)
