It is an exciting and eventful weekend for Brownwood athletes as the Lions baseball and Lady Lions softball teams head into the playoffs.

NOTE:  Due to weather, both the Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions games were moved.

The Brownwood Lions will face Andrews in a best of 3 series in the Region I-3A Area round of the playoffs. The playoff series was originally scheduled to take place at Hardin-Simmons and then moved to Midland, but has since changed again.   Game 1 will now take place on Friday at 9pm in Andrews and Game 2 will be in Brownwood on Saturday at 2pm followed by game 3 if necessary.  The winner of this series will face either Clint or Abilene Wylie in the quarterfinals next weekend.

Meanwhile, the Brownwood Lady Lions softball team will face Abilene Wylie in the Region 1-3A Quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday in Coleman.  Game 1 will start at 4:30pm on Friday with game 2 and 3 scheduled to begin at 2pm Saturday.   The winner of the series will move on to face either Liberty Hill or China Spring in the semifinals next weekend.
