Greenleaf Cemetery has launched a new website, greenleafcemeterytx.org.
The website includes a history of the cemetery, a list of services, hours of operation, ways to donate, and contact information.
Greenleaf Cemetery was established in 1868 when Greenleaf Fisk gave five acres to the town for a burial place. Today, Greenleaf Cemetery continues to operate as a nonprofit perpetual care cemetery, governed by a five member board elected by the Greenleaf Cemetery Association. It remains a peaceful resting place for local families and an important part of Brownwood’s history.
Matthew McCrane, President of the Greenleaf Cemetery Board, said, “We have had trouble with our page and accessibility for many years. We are thankful for Chris Nosek and his company, Local Websites, for helping us create a more user friendly website. Visitors can now learn about our history, visiting hours, FAQs and donate to one of Texas’ most historic cemeteries.”
