Brown County United Way is pleased to welcome Angelene Garlinghouse as our new Executive Director. Angelene and her family recently relocated from Oregon after her husband, Dax, was appointed Senior Pastor at Midtown Church in Brownwood, Texas. Together with their children, they are excited to put down roots and become actively involved in the community.
Angelene is dedicated to advancing the Brown County United Way mission of helping local communities thrive through education, health, and financial stability. She brings more than 30 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations, including churches, camps, schools, food banks, and other community-based programs. She looks forward to building strong, strategic partnerships that will continue to strengthen Brown County.
Angelene holds a Master’s degree from Salt Lake Bible College and is passionate about uniting people to drive meaningful growth and positive change throughout the community.
