After 10 years of dedicated service to Blanket ISD, Superintendent of Schools Mr. David Whisenhunt will be retiring at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The Blanket ISD Board of Trustees is grateful for his leadership, commitment, and the positive impact he has had on our students, staff, and community throughout his tenure.
As we look to the future, the Blanket ISD Board of Trustees, in partnership with Region 15 ESC, will begin the search process for our next superintendent. Community input is an important part of this process, and we encourage parents, staff, and community members to share what positive qualities, values, and vision they would like to see in the next Superintendent of Blanket School.
Below you will find a link from Region 15 ESC with a survey. The BISD Board of Trustees in conjunction with Region 15 ESC has put this survey together to use as an important aide when interviewing candidates in order to find a superintendent that represents the values of the Blanket Community.
