Jeffrey Lynn Allred Ryan, affectionately known as Moppy, passed away on January 7, 2026.

Jeffrey was born on February 16, 1952, to Jefferson Allred and Maxine Dempsey Carter in Brownwood, TX. She grew up in Brownwood, Tahoka and Blanket, TX, graduating from Blanket High School in 1970. On May 22, 1971, Jeffrey married Pat Ryan, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing. Together they had 3 children, Chris, Jennifer, and Samantha. Jeffrey worked side by side with Pat for many of those years at Ryan Construction, Inc. Throughout the years Jeffrey volunteered for several different activities, Early Softball Association, Early and Blanket PTC, Brownwood Girl Scouts, and Brownwood Animal Shelter. Jeffrey’s favorite times were those when she was surrounded by her family, especially during the holidays. A most treasured of memories were the New Year’s Eve Monopoly marathons she hosted with her grandchildren. A tradition the grandchildren enjoyed into adulthood.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Maxine, her husband Pat Ryan, her brother Nicky Gaines, and her nephew, Joshua Stevens. Jeffrey is survived by her children, Chris and wife Missy Ryan of Brownwood, Jennifer Ryan of Stephenville, and Samantha Ryan of Stephenville. Her 6 grandchildren, Jake Ryan and fiancé Becca Tobias of Early, Eli Ryan and wife Rosemary of Brownwood, Katie Ryan and husband Robert Orr of Early, Kade Ryan and wife Madison of Stephenville, Ellie Ryan of Abilene, and Hope Ryan of Abilene. Sisters Karen Anderson and husband Don of Abilene and Gwen Gaines of Blanket.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 5 pm at 200 N Fisk in Brownwood, TX. In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available at her Celebration of Life to be added to a fund that she wanted set up for the spaying and neutering of cats in Brown County.
