
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On 01/09/26, at approximately 0621 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to N US 183, Early, Tx 76802 regarding a Theft of a Motor Vehicle. On arrival, Deputy Fox spoke with Thomas Davis, who stated his vehicle was stolen. Deputy Fox later located the vehicle at N US 183, Early, Tx 76802. The vehicle appeared to have been in an accident and was damaged. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 01/09/26, at approximately 1104 hours, I, Deputy Ethan Fox, was dispatched to Cr 147, Bangs, Tx 76823 regarding a Terroristic Threat. Deputy Fox spoke with Casey Cates, who stated someone using an alias of “ALICE” threatened to harm his sister and her children if he did not pay her $250. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 01/10/26, at approximately 1330 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to FM 585 N, Bangs, TX 76823 regarding an Animal Complaint. Deputy Fox spoke with Sharon Dick and her neighbor, who stated dogs were escaping from FM 585 N, Bangs, Tx 76823. Deputy Fox spoke with the dog owner, PIERCE, STEPHANIE, and issued a Dog Prohibited from Running at Large notice for PIERCE’S four dogs. A report was made.
- On January 9, 2026, at approximately 15:34, Sergeant G. Smith was dispatched to Turner Drive. The caller reported two Pit Bull dogs were running loose on Turner Drive and were on the caller’s property. Sergeant Smith took a report, located the dog’s owner, and Dog Prohibited From Running at Large paperwork was filled out.
- On 01/10/2026, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to County Road 259, Zephyr, TX 76890 regarding a grass fire. Deputy Geis spoke to the Zephyr Volunteer Firefighters, who said this was the second fire in this area, and they believed it was intentionally started. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On January 9, 2026, at approximately 09:40, Sergeant G. Smith was dispatched to Belfast DR. for a Theft of keys. The complainant reported to Sergeant Smith she had contacted the post office in Brownwood to replace the lock in her mailbox. The complainant said an unidentified person had gone to the post office and got the key.
