Reminder: Lake Brownwood Community Development Council to Host Kid Fish Tournament July 30

LBCDCKidFishLake Brownwood Community Development Council will host a fishing tournament for kids up to 12 years of age at Lake Brownwood on Saturday, July 30th.

The tournament will begin with sign up at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning at Mountain View Lodge and Marina, located at 301 Mountain View Lane.  Weigh-in will be at 11 a.m. and prizes will be given out at 12 noon (children must be present to receive prizes).  Prizes will be awarded in all categories: 4 and under; 5-8 year-olds; and 9-12 year-olds.  There will also be a prize for biggest fish and most fish.

The cost to enter is $10 (through July 27th), which includes a rod and reel (valued at $15), tackle, worms for bait, hot dogs and a bottle of water for participants.   After July 27th, registration is $15.

All children must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
