Marilyn Jane Tinney

Marilyn Jane Tinney, age 77, of Canyon Lake, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas. Jane was the daughter of Harold Liles of Bridgeport, Texas and Marilyn Maxine Liles of Centralia, Illinois. Jane was born in Belleville, Illinois on February 22, 1948, and grew up in Illinois, England, Colorado, and Texas.

Jane married Tommie Tinney on October 31, 1987. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching games shows and soap operas, playing Scrabble, and most of all spending time with her family.

Those left behind to cherish Jane’s memory are her children: Gary & wife Melinda Freeland of Canyon Lake; Alton & wife Kim Tinney of San Saba; Ann Reyes of Richland Springs; Mindy Freeland of Prospect, Kentucky;  7 grandchildren: Jacob Freeland, Shelby Freeland, Nicholas Freeland, Brady Freeland, Erica Freeland, Trey Tinney, Trevor Tinney, Chris Munoz; 3 great grandchildren: Willow, Tommie IV, and Adalin Tinney; 3 brothers, Carl Liles, Alan Liles, Bruce Liles and one sister Kate Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Don Freeland and brother Donald Liles.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Blaylock Funeral Chapel in San Saba with Funeral Services following at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Barry Fikes officiating. Interment will follow at High Valley Cemetery in Bend, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.
