ATODallasA local gym, Crossfit Brownwood, has created a workout in honor of the 5 Dallas officers killed in the tragic events on July 7, 2016. Members invite the public to join them in honoring those officers; Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson and Patrick Zamarripa by participating in this special workout on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.

This workout is a free event and open to the community.  At the workout, participants will be given a chance to donate to Assist the Officer which will help support those officers and their families that were involved in the Dallas Police shooting.  To learn more, or to make a donation, CLICK HERE.  Local law enforcement and first responders will also be taking part in the workout, honoring their “brothers in blue” from Dallas.

Organizers encourage everyone, “Don’t think to yourself ‘I can’t do that’ or ‘it looks too hard.’ Instead, focus on what you can do, modify where needed, and remember the Hero that has given his all for our freedom. Honor these Hero’s with your best effort.”

CrossFit is quickly becoming “the training” program for the military, law enforcement and fire fighters.
