
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office on December 22, 2025:
*** On Friday, December 19, 2025, at 08:54 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was dispatched to FM 3100, Brown County, Texas, 76802 for a possible Criminal Trespass. Deputy Harrell spoke with the property owner, and he was able to provide video evidence of the incident. JOSHUA JAMES STOVALL is seen on the property. STOVALL has been told to stay off of the property. The property owner stated a Rigid Sewer Snake, valued at $700.00, was missing. The property owner is unsure if STOVALL took the sewer snake and does not wish to pursue charges but does want a Criminal Trespass Warning served on STOVALL.
*** On 12/19/25, at approximately 1701 hours, Deputy Hopson responded to FM1467 for a theft report. The victim advised $973 was stolen from his bedroom.
*** On 12/20/2025, at approximately 1602 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified by dispatch regarding a walk-in complaint of theft, which occurred at Belfast Drive, Brownwood, Texas 76801. The victim stated they had been storing a white and blue boat on a boat trailer at this address with consent of the property owner. When the victim arrived at the above address, the boat was missing. Neither the property owners nor the owner of the boat have any idea as to who would have taken it. Deputy Reigle spoke with residents in the area, who witnessed a named suspect and vehicle leaving the area and pulling a boat matching that description earlier in the day. Statements and photographs were taken, evidence was collected, and a report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
*** On Saturday 12/20/2025, at about 2356 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was driving North bound on US 183 North. Deputy Williamson observed what appeared to be an abandoned/ disabled vehicle parked on the side of the roadway just south of County Road 405. Deputy Williamson approached the vehicle to find a male subject, later identified as DONALD MANIS MILLER, in the driver seat. Due to Deputy Williamson’s training and experience, it was obvious MILLER was intoxicated. MILLER had access to his keys and vehicle and could have easily drove away, causing a danger to himself and to others. To prevent MILLER from doing this, he was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication P.C. 49.02.
On Saturday 12/20/2025, at about 2356 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was driving North bound on US 183 North. *** On Sunday 12/21/2023, at 1812 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an accident located at Park Road 15, Brownwood, TX. GARY ROBERT COOK drove his vehicle off the roadway. COOK was taken to the Hendrick Medical Center’s Emergency Room. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
