Claudia Ann Towery, 85 of Brownwood, passed away peacefully Saturday December 20, 2025.  She was born on October 9, 1940, in Mills County to W.D. Leverett and Sue Nora Leverett.

Claudia married James Towery, August 2, 1957.  She was a longtime resident of Brownwood, a member of First Methodist Church, and an active member of the Women’s Club for many years.  Claudia had a love of collecting stuffed bears.

Claudia is preceded in death by her parents and brother Billy D. Leverett.  She is survived by her husband James Towery of Brownwood.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday December 23, 2025, at the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite Texas.  Brother Joey Wilbourn officiating.

Memorial can be made in honor of Claudia at the First Methodist Church of Brownwood.
