Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water murky; 76–80 degrees; 0.42’ high. Black bass are good on soft plastics, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits over grass. Hybrid striper are fair on shad. White bass are good on minnows and Li’l Fishies off lighted docks at night. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 78–82 degrees; 0.05’ high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

 

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 73–80 degrees; 33.48’ low. Black bass are fair to good on weightless flukes, jigs, medium running shad pattern crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 74–78 degrees; 22.18’ high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
