EarlyRoboticsCampEarly ISD will offer beginning and advanced robotics camps this summer at Early Elementary School.  Early Robotics teacher Keith Taylor will be hosting both sessions.

Children who have completed grades 3rd -5th are invited to attend the Beginner’s Camp, which will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. July 11-14.  During this camp, participants will use Lego Mindstorm NXT Robotics to build projects and program projects to build bumper cars, lawn mowers, catapults and other machines.

The Beginner’s Camp is limited to 21 participants and is offered at a cost of $65/person if registered early.  Cost is $70 after June 17th.  Registration will be on a first come first serve basis.

Students who have completed grades 4th -5th (who attended last summer’s robotics camp or who were on a team last year) are invited to attend the Advanced Camp, which will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on July 25-28.  During this camp, participants will use Lego EV3 Mindstorm Robotics to design and program projects, to complete challenges on the EV3 and have a summer competition.  There will be more free building and programming in the Advanced Camp as compared to the Beginner Camp, according to Mr. Taylor.

This Advanced Camp is limited to 18 participants and is on a first come first served basis.   Cost to attend is $65/person if registered early. Cost increases to $70 if after July 1st.

For more information or to register, contact Mr. Keith Taylor at 325-646-5511 (school)/325-642-8605 (cell) or email keitht154@gmail.com.
