BHS Band Students Earn 10 Medals at UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest

Flutes

Students from the Brownwood High School Band competed at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville on May 29, 2016.  The students earned a total of 10 first-division medals at the contest.

Brianna Rodriguez, Elisabeth Johnson, Britlynn Bitters, Colette Smith, and Abigail Burks earned five first-division medals as the band’s flute ensemble.  Also earning five first-division medals was the band’s brass ensemble made up of Tanner Scull, Cade Rector, Jesse Bennett, Kaytlin Welch, and James Davis.

“Congratulations to these band students for their hard work,” stated BHS Band Director, David Lambert.
