Funeral services for James L. Beaird, 64, of Bangs, Texas will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Jones Chapel cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  He passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Beaird was born on July 16, 1945 in Dimmitt, Texas to Hubert and Eugenia James Beaird.  On December 10, 1966 he married Mentie Stewart in Harrison, Arkansas and she preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2007.  He had resided in the area since 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
