A bench in memory of Autumn Ales, a Coggin Elementary second-grader who passed away on Oct. 3 in an automobile accident, was dedicated at the school’s playground Tuesday afternoon.

The Coggin PTO and Lewis Plumbing provided the funds for the bench,  which was designed by Darrin St Ama with Savage Saint, and constructed by JW and Owen Johnson and Real Tuff Industries. 

The family of Autumn Ales, BISD administrators, Coggin Elementary staff, and Coggin second-grade students all attended the dedication.

Family members stated that hot pink, the color of the bench, was Autumn’s favorite color.
