
Brookesmith Lady Mustangs 33, Iraan 26
ROCHELLE – The Brookesmith Lady Mustangs finished play at the Rochelle tournament Saturday and remained undefeated with a 33-26 victory over Iraan.
Tied at 6 after one quarter, Brookesmith (9-0) grabbed a 19-11 lead at halftime, which grew to 30-15 going to the fourth period.
The Lady Mustangs were led by 14 points from Ameriah Balleza, four each from Madison Johnson, Brooklyn Haby and Ava Hathcock, three from Chloe Dye, and two each from Emma Slayton and Mercedes Rodriguez.
Brookesmith will next be in action at the Rising Star Tournament Dec. 11-13.

May Tigers 72, Saint Jo 52
Huckabay 77, May Tigers 49
HUCKABAY – The May Tigers placed second in the Huckabay tournament, splitting their final two games Saturday.
May advanced to the championship game of the Huckabay tournament with a 72-52 victory over Saint Jo.
The Tigers led 18-14 after one quarter, 30-29 at halftime, and 47-42 through three quarters, before pulling away in the final eight minutes.
Kobey Morris sparked the effort with 31 points trailed by 18 from Brody Stice, 11 from Tyran Perry, and six each from Jackson Lusk and Mikey Scheriger.
May then suffered its first loss of the year in the tournament final to host and Class No. 5 Huckabay, 77-49.
The Tigers trailed 29-19 after one period, 53-32 at halftime, and 67-45 going to the fourth quarter.
Stice scored 16 points followed by Morris with 13, Scheriger with seven, Lusk with six, Perry with three, and Kaden Watkins with two points.
May (5-1) will next host Rocksprings at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

May Lady Tigers 59, Saint Jo 21
Huckabay 46, May Lady Tigers 37
HUCKABAY – The May Lady Tigers also placed second in the Huckabay tournament,as they split their final two games as well Saturday.
In a 59-21 triumph over Saint Jo, May led 15-2 after one quarter, 31-13 at halftime, and 45-16 through three frames.
Chloe Lord led the way with 19 points along with 13 from Jordyn Gerhardt, 10 from Aubree Gerhardt, six from Lauren Hicks, four from Cortney Harper and two points from McKenna Landes.
In a 46-37 setback against Huckabay, the Lady Tigers were down 8-7 after one frame, 17-11 at intermission, and 27-24 heading to the final stanza.
Lord again finished with a team-best 15 points followed by Jordyn Gerhardt with 12, Aubree Gerhardt with seven, and Landes with three points.
The Lady Tigers (6-3) will next welcome the San Angelo Saints at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Bangs Lady Dragons 47, Hamlin 26
BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons chalked up a 47-26 home victory over Hamlin Saturday in non-district basketball action.
The Lady Dragons led 10-2 after one quarter, 25-11 at halftime, and 37-18 after three periods.
Bangs was sparked by 15 points from Justice Baker, nine from Keeli Gordon, seven each from Ashlynn Sliger and Adalynne Stephens, four from Kylee Newton, three from Lillian Boren, and two points from Cameryn Harmon.
The Lady Dragons (1-8) will next visit Brady at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Zephyr Lady Bulldogs 44, Florence 35
BAIRD – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs were victorious in their Baird tournament finale Saturday, knocking off Florence, 44-35, to finish the event with a 2-2 record.
The Lady Bulldogs led 12-8 after one quarter, 30-15 at halftime, and 35-27 through three frames.
Zephyr (4-2) was paced by Kenlyn King with 19 points, all-tournament team selection Avery Stevens with nine, Calyn Kubin with seven, Kirstan King with five, and Sidney Hobson and Sydnee Simpson with two points apiece.
The Lady Bulldogs next venture to Eastland at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Dublin 78, Early Longhorns 67
DUBLIN – The Early Longhorns dropped their Dublin tournament finale to the host Lions, 78-67, Saturday, to finish fourth in the tournament.
Early fell behind 19-14 after one quarter, 41-35 at halftime, and 56-48 through three frames.
Zack Rumfield poured in 26 points for Early followed by 12 from Ian Desai, seven from Rhett Williams, five each from Cooper Shults and Andrew Reedy, and four apiece from Skyden Stoddart, Braiden Brown and Dayton Zamora.
The Longhorns (3-5) are off until next weekend when they take part in the Hamilton tournament Thursday through Saturday.

LLANO – The Early Lady Horns competed in the Llano tournament and finished 4-1 overall and earned a third place finish.
Player Highlights included Gabby Benson scoring 18 points with a career high six three-pointers against Marble Falls; Aliyah Harlan scored a season high of 18 points against Bandera while averaging 10.6 points per tournament game; Avery Williams was selected to the all-tournament team with an average of 11.2 points per game during the tournament; and Andie Simpson averaged rebounds per game with a total of 49 rebounds in the tournament.
The Lady Horns are back in action Friday when they host Millsap in the District 8-3A opener for both teams.
