Samantha Nell Johnson, born on October 2, 2008, in Abilene, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Brown County, Texas. At just 17 years old, Samantha was an enchanting spirit known for her loving and outgoing nature. Growing up in Comanche and Coleman, she was currently completing her junior year of high school, where her zest for life shone brightly.

Samantha was not only passionate about her studies but also an ardent participant in athletics. She cherished the time spent with her friends and was a vibrant presence in their lives. Known for her fondness for anything pink or purple, she had a deep appreciation for all genres of music, which added to her lively personality.

She is survived by her loving grandmother, Grace Milligan of Coleman; her mother, Mattie Johnson of Comanche; and two uncles, Andrew Johnson and Joseph Johnson, both of Coleman. Also grieving her loss are her great aunt and uncle, Evelyn “Cracker” Crews and John Crews of Comanche.

Samantha will be remembered not only for her radiant spirit but also for the love she shared with those around her. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Rodriguez.

The family will host a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Shiloh Cemetery in Comanche County with Rev. Steven Schulte, Sr. pastor at East Side Baptist Church, officiating. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Johnson family by signing the guestbook on Samantha’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Johnson family.
