The Brownwood Lady Lions continue to vault in the state rankings, as Monday’s most recent Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 4A poll finds head coach Heather Hohertz’s squad at No. 13.

Brownwood (7-1), which is in the midst of a four-game win streak, was ranked No. 18 by the same organization a week ago. The Lady Lions started the season ranked No. 25 in the state.

Fellow District 6-4A rivals Brock (9-2), at No. 2, and Stephenville (5-1), at No. 23, also appear in the poll.

The Lady Lions will be facing their toughest challenges of the young season this week, visiting Jim Ned at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday followed by a weekend trip to the Lorena tournament with games lined up against College Station, Hutto, Lubbock Liberty and host Lorena.
