May Lady Tigers 71, Newcastle 19

MAY – The May Lady Tigers moved to 4-0 on the season with a 71-19 home victory over Newcastle Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers led 18-9 after one quarter, 35-16 at halftime and 51-19 through three periods.

Jordyn Gerhardt poured in 30 points for May trailed by Chloe Lord and Lauren Hicks with 13 each, Cortney Harper with nine, Aubree Gerhardt with four, and McKenna Landes with two points.

The Lady Tigers are slated to host Stephenville Faith later this week.

Early Lady Horns 48, Bangs Lady Dragons 7

BANGS – The Early Lady Horns chalked up a 48-7 road victory over the rival Bangs Lady Dragons Tuesday night.

Early (3-1) led Bangs (0-2) by a 12-2 count after one quarter, 28-4 at halftime, and 41-6 heading to the fourth period.

Scoring for the Lady Horns were Avery Williams with 10 points, Andie Simpson and Gabby Benson with eight each, Aliyah Harlan with seven, Kayleigh Torrez with six, Abby Ferguson with four, and Cali Vargas and Tierney Burns with two points apiece.

For the Lady Dragons, Adalynne Stephens scored four points, Jasmine Lewis added two and Justice Baker converted a free throw.

Both Bangs and Early will compete in the Bangs basketball tournament Thursday through Saturday.
