Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3278 and Auxiliaries will observe the end of The War in Europe, VE Day, at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 11, at the VFW Post 3278, located at 2300 Stephen F. Austin. The public is invited to attend.

The Post will recognize all World War II Veterans present.

This is the 71th Anniversary of the Victory in Europe. The war against Germany, Italy and other minor AXIS powers lasted 3 years and 5 months. Over 183,588 Service members were killed in the war in Europe.
