Salamon passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, in Abilene surrounded by his loved ones. Loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend gone too soon.

Salamon was born to Manuel, Jr. and Julia (Martinez) Nava on July 24, 1975, in Alice, Texas. He attended Brownwood High School. Salamon worked at Kohler Company for 16 years, the past 8 years as a Leadman for PSS. He met Monica Perez in 2006; after devoting themselves to each other for several years, they got married on March 7, 2014. Salamon was so generous and had such a huge heart, he helped others more than himself. He loved grilling and hanging out with family and friends.

Salamon was the life of the party; he loved telling bizarre stories, jokes, and making random comments. He was always playing jokes on people. Salamon had a love and talent for music. He enjoyed writing music, singing, playing guitar and piano. He was his family’s rock star. He was also a handy man, creating his own “inventions.”

Salamon is survived by his wife, Monica Nava of Brownwood; children, Tiffanie Alonso and husband John of Brownwood, Christopher Nava and fiancé Victoria Williford of Oak Harbor, WA, and Jacob Nava of Lubbock; parents, Manuel “Junior” and Julia Nava of Early; brother, Eric and wife Lori Nava of Brownwood; nieces and nephews, Katherine Nava, Mallorie Nava, Xavier Nava, Christian Smith, Jacob Smith, and Martin Nava; paternal grandmother, Juanita Nava of Alice; uncle, Raymond Martinez and wife Rosa of Tuscola. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel Nava, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Antonio and Mary Martinez.
