
CLYDE – The Bangs Lady Dragons volleyball season came to an end in the Region I-2A Division I bi-district round of the playoffs Thursday night with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-4 loss to District 6 champion Hawley.
Bangs (9-26) earned the fourth and final playoff berth out of District 5-2A with a straight-set victory over De Leon Tuesday night in a play-in match.
Against Hawley (31-8) Thursday night, the Lady Dragons received seven kills from Ashlynn Sliger and two apiece from Cameryn Harmon and Stormy Stringer.
Justice Baker and Cricket Caulkins each dished out five assists, and Bangs did not record an ace.
Defensively, Baker registered a team-high 14 digs followed by eight from Kylee Byler, five each from Harmon, Stringer, and Cloey Petty, three from Adalynne Stephens, two apiece from Ashlynn Sliger, Karlyee Sliger and Lily Boren, and one dig from Caulkins.
The Lady Dragons also ended the night without a block.
