
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On 10/23/2025, at approximately 1511 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding a walk-in complaint of a scam. Deputy Reigle spoke with the elderly victim, who stated they were contacted by phone by the suspect claiming to be a DEA Agent. The victim sent the suspect $500 worth of prepaid cards, before realizing the scam. A report was made, and evidence was collected for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- On Friday, 10/24/2025, at about 1213 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a theft call located at Beachside Dr., May, TX. Jenifer Lynn Sorley stated her late parents’ shed was broken into sometime in the past couple months. Items were taken and are missing from the property. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, 10/26/2025, at about 1437 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a theft call, which was a walk in at the Law Enforcement Center, located at 1050 West Commerce St. Terri Lynnette Antwine stated sometime during the past two weeks, she had her Texas License Plate stolen off the front bumper of her 2022 White Ford Expedition King Ranch. Information was collected, and a report was made.
- On October 27th, 2025, at 1012 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a criminal mischief call at Chaparral Dr in Brownwood, Tx 76801. Information and pictures were gathered on scene. A report was made.
- On 10/28/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Highway 279 North, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a theft of a Motor Vehicle. Deputy Geis spoke to an Elpidio Martinez, who said someone stole his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, white in color, with aftermarket rims and pink under glow lights. Elpidio was able to provide a video of the suspect, who is a white male wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a grey hat. The suspect arrived at Elpidio’s residence in an early 2000’s white Ford F-150. The suspect was last seen on camera heading north of Highway 279, going towards Abilene. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Wednesday 10-22-2025, at about 12:47 hours, Sgt Byron Langley arrived at Walnut St in Brownwood, TX regarding an animal complaint. Sgt Langley spoke to Raul Mares Hernandez (Victim), who stated his neighbor’s, ASHTYN NICOLE BREEDLOVE (Suspect), dogs got on his property and wounded and killed several of his goats.
- On October 23, 2025, at 2123 hours, Deputy Thomas Beloat and Sgt. Gene Smith with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to County Road 133 regarding a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, MELSON, TONY LYNN was arrested for Assault Family Violence PC 22.01 and Injury to a child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual PC 22.04.
- On 10/23/2025, Deputy John Geis was patrolling the Block of Highway 279 North, Brownwood, TX 76801. Deputy Geis observed a black Dodge Pickup swerving inside the lane, and when turning onto Park Road 15, nearly struck the guard railing on Highway 279. Deputy Geis made contact with the driver, GOTCHER, TIMOTHY, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Deputy Geis performed the Standard Field Sobriety Test. Due to what was observed, GOTCHER was taken into custody for Driving while Intoxicated PC 49.04. GOTCHER was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to Jail Staff.
